Our First Visitors

It was fantastic to have Bek and Jen visit a couple of weekends ago. But it was too short and the weather was too wet! I think that they had a pretty good overview of Sneem though. We managed to dodge the showers with two lovely walks, one at Parknasilla and another on the beach at Derrynane NP. We also discovered a gorgeous pub for lunch "The Blind Piper" at Caherdaniel.

Two quite eventful evenings too. We started off Friday night in "O Shea's" with us girls a bit jaded and on the coffees. Then on the way home we thought we'd just pop in to "Riney's" (our regular haunt) for one before bed. Before we knew it true irish hospitality had kicked in. Every toothless male in the village descended to our table to interview the new girls in town........hilarious. Before the night was out me and Pete had the offer of about 3 parcels of dodgy land to look at, I had got a job patching up the local bus seats and Bek and Jen had the promise of a boat ride. Predictably........ none materialized...... well, the seats might!

Saturday night was a more subdued affair with all of the blow ins descending on "The Wrestlers" for Eva's (mad swedish artist) leaving party.

We were all a bit worn out with our drive to the airport Sunday morning.........a very sad goodbye!

Yes that really is an eagle

Bit dark in Pound Cottage. Tim resorts to a head torch.............
